Mbarara notorious panga wielding goons netted

Police in Mbarara City through an intelligence led operation was able to track and apprehend 9 suspects who have been terrorising Mbarara City plus the neighbouring districts,aiding and abetting crimes involving panga wielding thugs from areas of Kakiika cell,lugazi cell Mbarara City and Rugasha cell,Nyamitoma cell, Sheema Municipality. 

All the nine suspects are on charges of aggravated robbery.

The suspects include;

1.Mukundane Darius 

2.Kakuru Dominic 

3.Muwonge Nulu

4.Abdu Ukash

5.Nsimire Kennedy(boda boda rider)

6.Atwijukire Raps

7.Namanya Charles

8.Lubega Farouk(boda boda rider)

9.Nuwagaba Derrick 

Police in the same regard was able to recover 05 pangas used in the crime, clothes ,05 television sets including 55 from Kakiga’s shop at Ebenezer Arcade on High Street Mbarara who is alleged to be the main buyer of stolen television sets,12 phones,05 laptops ,bags,mattresses,DVDs,shoes, 03 hoofers, Speakers,simcards,a camera and watches

Their getaway motorvehicle  registration number UBM141E Toyota fielder white in colour impounded and two motorcycles registration numbers UEW139D and UEM 938B used in transporting them and carrying stolen items

Police cautioned members of the public to take their personal security as priority and keep vigilant as we head into the festive season.
